We have just returned from the best mobile safari experience we have ever had with Bush Ways Safaris. They organised a tailor made 10 day trip for us starting in Moremi and travelling through Savuti , Kwhai, Chobe and ending in Victoria Falls. We stayed in a combination of premium camping and Bush Ways lodges. The camp sites were in beautiful settings and very comfortable. The lodges were lovely and all the staff were warm, hospitable and welcoming. Moscow was our excellent guide, tracker and wildlife spotter. He was so knowledgeable and we enjoyed his fun, his professionalism and his great company throughout our safari. K.K, K.D and K.K2 were amazing and travelled with us setting up our camps, catering and making sure we had warm showers and welcome when we came back from our game drives. The food was absolutely amazing – good variety , including homemade bread, stir fries, steaks, chicken, salads, vegetables and even deserts. It was well presented and served on white tablecloths under the stars. We even had a birthday chocolate cake made on the open fire. The team went above and beyond to make our camping experience a memorable and comfortable one. We had the most incredible wildlife sightings that we have ever seen too. We loved our morning Amarula coffee stops and sundowners amongst the game in the most picturesque of settings. We went on a small boat trip on the Delta and Chobe River where we were up close to elephants and hippos. We also went on a helicopter flip over the Delta which was an amazing experience – seeing the Delta waterways from above. It was the most magical and unforgettable experience. It exceeded all our expectations and we can’t thank the Bush Ways team enough for this immersive experience. It was excellent in every aspect from start to finish, and really shows off the gem that Botswana Delta is. A trip of a life time.

An Incredible experience that we will never forget!! Bush Ways took us on an amazing journey through the Botswana Delta, staying in camps at Moremi, Savuti, Khwai and Chobe game areas. We finished off with a visit to the spectacular Vic Falls in Zimbabwe. The game and bird sightings were way beyond expectations and the 360 degree bush and game landscape views were simply mind blowing. In addition to other huge sightings, we also saw lion, leopard and jackal cubs plus the elusive wild dogs and cheetah. The camp experiences were highly memorable and the staff that looked after us were simply the best! We wanted for nothing and the food (cooked over open fires) was amazing. The guide, Moscow, is an absolute gent and took care of us well above and beyond what we expected. Being with family made it all the more special and forever memories were certainly made on this trip. Thank you Bush Ways for the experience of a lifetime!!!

3 Leopard Safari! We went on the 17 day camping participation Leopard Safari from the Kalahari through the Okavango Delta, Moremi, Chobe to Victoria Falls. We highly recommend this trip for the complete immersion into the bush and the total wildlife experience. We saw 3 leopards, wild dogs, elephants, giraffe, antelope, aardvark, honey badger, lion, hippo, countless birds, etc, etc. The experience of lying in your tent at night listening to the bush sounds is wonderful. This is an affordable safari, you join in with the daily tasks but you are very well looked after. But you must like camping and not mind being sweaty and dusty. Rex was a knowledgeable, safe and fun guide-driver. KP was a brilliant cook and also very ready to answer our questions and show us things. They were both very kind. We recommend Bushways.

Fantastic fully assisted mobile safari We had an amazing time on the fully assisted mobile camping trip from Maun to Kasane covering Khwai, Savute and Chobe Riverfront parks finishing off with a great boat trip on the Chobe River. We were lead by Degree who was a very knowledgeable, friendly, polite, funny and helpful guide. He ensured we were able to see maximum sightings and always drove in a safe manner. The vehicle was spacious and comfortable too with each of us guests (6 n total) getting a “window” seat which allowed us to get fantastic photos. We saw more animals than anticipated with many sightings thanks to Degree of lions, leopards, elephants, hippos, giraffes and zebra’s plus plenty more. Our camp assistants and chefs were fantastic. They always had everything at camp ready and waiting for us including warm water for our showers and we found the tents and raised beds very comfortable. The meals were also very very good and tasty. We had plenty of drinks which we all enjoyed around the campfire at night under the stars. Was truely a magical experience that we could not fault.

AMAZING We have just returned home having had the time of our lives on Bushways Sable lodge to lodge safari.Even before our trip, the service from Bushways was great; a big thank you to Mendy who answered all my many questions and organised the extra nights and experiences that we wanted to add.We were met at Maun airport by Degree who was to be our wonderful guide whilst we were on Safari. He took us to the local hotel that Mendy had booked for us, gave us a short introduction and explained the timeframe for our trip. We enjoyed our stay at the hotel and it was a good way to acclimatise to Botswana. We also really enjoyed the door off helicopter ride that Mendy had arranged for us and it gave us a taste for what was to come. When Degree returned, we met the five other people on our tour and set off for the Dune Camp in the Deception Valley Private Reserve. You may not find any reviews for this camp as it is brand new, but trust me, it’s luxurious. The service is great as the manager MacDonald has trained his new team so well. Almost straight away, we saw elephants just outside the dining room windows. Early the next morning, we set off on our first game drive and later in the afternoon we met with four young local people who ably taught us about their cultural heritage. Our next camp was the Boteti River Camp which is adjacent to the Makgadikgadi National Park. Whilst the river here has been virtually dry for the last 6 years, we were amazed to see the river bed almost covered in animals including hippos and elephants all using the remaining pools of water. It was fantastic to be so close to so many wild animals. Our next stop was a full days drive away. The first part of the journey was to Maun on tarmac roads where we stopped for coffee and cake and bought a takeaway sandwich to eat for our lunch whilst on the second part of our journey. This was a very long, dusty, bumpy journey. If you want to avoid this, Bushways can book you a ride flight in a small plane. It is expensive but maybe worth considering if, for instance, you have a bad back. At the end of our journey was the lovely Khwai Guest House where we received a warm welcome from the lovely Virginia. This camp must also be fairly new as it was immaculate. Whilst on safari here, we saw a leopard! We also really enjoyed the mokoro (traditional canoe) ride. Our final destination was Chobe Elephant Camp which also involved a long drive. However, to tea surrounded by watching zebras and giraffes in the Mabebe Depression and have coffee in the shade of a 1000 year old baobab tree was special. The following day of game drive and boat trip in Chobe National Park provided the perfect finish to our Safari experience. The sun gleaming on the river with swimming elephants in it is a view I will always remember. The next day, Degree drove us to the border with Zimbabwe and helped us with the formalities and we had to say goodbye to him. He had been a fabulous guide, so knowledgeable, helpful, patient and polite.Word of warning, take dollars to pay the visa fee. If you try and pay with Botswana’s Pula or South African Rand, they make up the price!!! Our stay in Victoria Falls was at Bushways Pioneer Lodge. You can read the five star reviews on trip advisor and they are well deserved. A huge thank you to the manager and Brian who helped us sort out a problem with our onward flight to Johannesburg. Another tip would be to have a backup plan if you have flights booked with Air Botswana or CemAir. We had problems with both airlines! Airline services seemed to be reliable, I would use them another time.Final tips, if you are going in winter like us, do take a jacket, hat gloves and plenty of layers. It’s freezing in the mornings and after the sun has dropped. You can peel your layers off as you warm up to the high 20’s C. If you come from a humid country (including the UK), you will find the air dry, some nose drops will help with this.If you have read all of this, well done. The title really does sum this experience up perfectly, it was AMAZING.THANK YOU BUSHWAYS.
