The founder of Bush Ways, Marc Germiquet, will be rowing the Atlantic this year to raise awareness for the cause so dear to the Bush Ways Foundation. The Talisker Whisky Atlantic Challenge is renowned for being one of the toughest rowing races in the world, attracting adventurers from around the globe who seek to push their limits and achieve extraordinary feats. It is an ultimate test of human endurance and an incredible opportunity for personal growth and self-discovery.



Beyond the personal achievements, the race also serves as a platform to raise awareness and funds for charitable causes. Marc will participate with a mission to make a positive impact, supporting Bush Ways Foundation and its initiatives that address important social issues. Ocean Ways is a facet of the Bush Ways Foundation; we continuously strive to ensure our activities have a positive impact and contribute to the sustainable development of our natural wonders. Having collaborated for more than 28 years on a daily basis with a variety of organisations in Northern Botswana encouraging local development, we have managed to identify the support needed to improve the socio-economic status of the communities and areas where Bush Ways Lodges operate. We have therefore developed a variety of projects in the fields of business development, education, health, social welfare, and environmental conservation that we conduct within the villages in the vicinity of our camps and mobile safari routes.



The fundamental cause that we hold dear to the company is that of education and ensuring that we play a significant role in early childhood learning. Ocean Ways was birthed as a creative and innovative means to create outdoor sport challenges, primarily water sports with the aim of raising funds for educational causes in Botswana wilderness areas.
