Wildlife Conservation & De-Snaring
In October 2025, a four day joint de-snaring operation in the Khwai–Mababe region brought together the Department of Wildlife and National Parks (DWNP), Botswana Defence Force (BDF), Botswana Police Service (BPS), community trusts, conservation NGOs, and private operators. The team recovered 145 wire snares, highlighting both the growing pressure on wildlife and the importance of coordinated action.
As Bush Ways Foundation, we saw it fit to provide logistical support to this initiative, contributing to the collective effort on the ground. We believe conservation works best when communities, government, and the private sector stand together, and we are grateful to all partners, lodges, and individuals who committed time, resources, and energy to this operation. Together, we are making a real difference one collaboration at a time.
