People and Culture

Visitors are immersed in the history of the vibrant cultures of the indigenous San (Bushmen) that once inhabited this area thousands of years ago. The San, known for their mesmerizing rock paintings, offer a glimpse into ancient traditions, and Savuti has their well kept historic art prevalent today. Though Savuti is now a protected wildlife area, one can still appreciate the rich culture that once dotted this wildlife area.

Seasons

Savuti experiences distinct seasonal changes, with a dry season from May to October and a wet season from November to March. The dry season is excellent for game viewing, as wildlife congregates around water sources, while the wet season transforms the landscape into a lush, green paradise

The Green Season: Rainy season November – March – Spot migratory birds and witness large zebra migrations.

Dry season: April – October – Explore safari on game drives or observe lions and hyenas in legendary predator-prey interactions.
