There are a few different matters you will need to look into while starting to plan a trip to Botswana. Visa requirements should be one of the first to enquire about as, depending on the agreements between your country of origin and Botswana, the visa application process may require some time. Botswana has however signed agreements with a certain number of countries whose nationals are therefore not required to obtain a visa to enter the country (see end of the article for the current lists).

Bush Ways opens Chobe Elephant Camp

01 November 2013, Botswana – Established Maun-based safari operator Bush Ways, is proud to announce the opening of their second lodge: Chobe Elephant Camp. This new lodge comes three years after opening the incredibly popular Sango Safari Camp which borders the famous Moremi Game Reserve in Botswana.

All You Need to Know & More

I have always considered that one starts traveling as soon as one starts planning and preparing for a trip. There is something unique and utterly thrilling in getting ready for “the great unknown” which is definitely part of the journey.

Nowadays, it can seem quite easy to get all the necessary traveling information, since everything one needs to know is usually only a mouse-click away, but the task tends to quickly become frustrating and disconcerting as very often the vast amount of sources implies conflicting information along with the difficulty to figure out what really needs to be known and done among the ocean of tips and advice…and we certainly wouldn’t want you to sink before launching. First Memories of a Bush Ways Safari

I remember how it all started. I remember the early morning chill, the glowing sun a few meters above the horizon, the jeep proudly heading out of town towards the bush. I remember the first turn off into the bush to pick up some other guests staying in a lodge by the river and suddenly the scent of wild sage wrapped around us, growing ever stronger.

Annual Training Week

This is the time of the year where we welcome new Field staff members to the team and have a great week of orientation where they get to know our management team, all the new staff and learn the Bush Ways standards that are expected.

Nxai Pans

Last month I had the chance to spend a few days in Nxai Pan. February is one of my favourite times to visit as the summer rains bring a flush of nutrient rich grasses which drive one of the biggest migrations in Botswana.
