We have just had the privilege of taking a Fish Eagle Safari with Bushways as a reunion for 14 members of our family who are scattered all over the world – South Africa, Namibia, Australia and the US. We have all had plenty of experience camping in the African bush but this was without doubt the best trip any of us have ever done. Gideon and Keeme, our guides and drivers, did a superb job of getting us safely to our campsites while giving us the most wonderful game viewing en route. We saw a total of five leopards and twenty five lions, wild dogs, a honey badger, a Pel’s Fishing Owl as well as all the plains game imaginable – too many to list. The catering, provided by Degree and Wilson, was outstanding. Our meals were always delicious, filling and varied. The itinerary, while rugged and long, was an unbeatable combination of scenery and game – mokoros in the Okavango Delta, 3 nights in Moremi Game Reserve, 3 nights in Chobe Game Reserve and finally Livingstone and Victoria Falls. We spent almost a year co-ordinating this trip with the Bushways reservations team who were patient, helpful and professional. The result was a massive success. Thank you Bushways.
